Why does phosphorus matter so much?
Kidneys that are already working harder than they should don't need a high phosphorus load. The awkward part is that meat is one of the richest dietary sources of it, so a lot of meat-forward 'senior' products work against the very cats they're sold for.
Will she take it if she's not eating?
That's the reason for the format. A cat who won't commit to a bowl will very often still lick paste off your fingers. If she won't, you get a full refund and keep the box.
How long until I see something?
It's daily support, not a switch. Owners typically report she takes the tube in week one, more interest in food around weeks two to three, and condition and coat by weeks three to six. Some cats show more than others — she is old, and we're not going to pretend otherwise.
Does it contain a urinary acidifier?
Deliberately not. DL-methionine belongs in a young cat's urinary product like Flow. Older cats with reduced kidney function often have acid–base balance to protect, and that isn't something to nudge casually. It's why these are two formulas, not one paste in two boxes.
